FOX Stations’ “Laughs” To Bring Free, Live Comedy to Pechanga Theater

TEMECULA, Calif. – (July 15, 2016) — FOX Television Stations’ successful comedy program “Laughs” and Pechanga Resort & Casino are teaming up again for the show’s third season, and will be filming a special Pechanga episode inside the resort’s 1,200-seat theater. Comedy fans should mark their calendars for Thursday, July 28 at 8:00p.m. when eight rising comics who have been seen on programs such as NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” “Adam Devine’s House Party,” Comedy Central and “NickMom” on Nickelodeon will take over the stage inside the Pechanga Theater. The live stand-up comedy show will be hosted by Temecula’s own Taylor Tomlinson, who was discovered by Laughs producers during the show’s first season. “Laughs” tapes inside the Pechanga Comedy Club beginning in August and continuing through December. The “Laughs” Pechanga episode live taping starts at 8:00p.m. Doors open at 7:00p.m. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Following the live episode taping inside the Pechanga Theater, “Laughs” will come back to the Pechanga Comedy Club for five additional free comedy shows featuring the best up and coming comics. The “Laughs” TV episode taped inside the Pechanga Theater will air on FOX stations in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, New York, Charlotte, N.C., Minneapolis, Louisville, Ky., and Chicago on Saturday, September 10 and Saturday, December 17. It will be shown in the same cities, as well as Orlando, Fl., on MYNetwork stations on Sunday, September 11 and Sunday, December 18.

Pechanga Comedy Club_stage_smFor the Pechanga Comedy Club tapings, comics prepare a five to six minute set for the live, 300-seat audience. The best minute or two of each comic’s stage time is edited into the show, making it a fast-paced and dynamic broadcast.

During the first and second seasons of “Laughs,” several Southern California comics received much-coveted air time and public recognition, including 22-year old Taylor Tomlinson of Temecula. Foregoing college to pursue a career in standup, Tomlinson, who started doing comedy routines at church at the age of 16, now performs nightly at comedy clubs and college campuses across the country. She is also this season’s host of “Laughs.”
