If mom wants some relaxation time to herself, getting her a gift card to Spa Pechanga may be the perfect present. Spa Pechanga features an array of massage and facial treatments, plus a full hair and nail salon. Gift cards may be purchased at the spa (located on the 3rd floor), or at any of the resort’s retail shops. Pechanga gift cards may be used toward spa visits, tickets at the Pechanga Theater, dining at any of the resort’s 11 restaurants, hotel stays, and golf at Journey at Pechanga.
Treating mom to a memorable dining experience is easy. Opt for a casual setting at the 24-hour Pechanga Café where the special of the day is grilled filet of steelhead trout, Champagne and chantrelle mushroom beurre blanc finished with sautéed broccolini and herbed rice pilaf. This special is $19.00. For dessert, save room for a luscious Grand Marnier crème brulee with fresh fruit for $5.95. The restaurant’s daily menu will also be served.
For an Italian spin on the holiday, make plans for Paisano’s for dinner. For $48, guests can savor a four-course dinner with their choice of pan seared halibut or grilled lamb chop for an entrée. Paisano’s opens at 5:00p.m. and the restaurant’s nightly menu will be served in addition to the prix fixe option.
Open for breakfast, brunch and evening appetizers, Journey’s End at the Journey golf course features a delectable Mother’s Day buffet for $44 for adults and $22 for children ages three to 11. This elegant buffet runs from 7:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and may be made by calling (951) 770-8208. If leaving the rest of the family at home while you go out for a romantic Mother’s Day sounds good, the Great Oak Steakhouse, winner of the AAA Four Diamond Award three years running, features the ambiance and service to impress that special lady. The restaurant’s prix fixe menu features lobster with tarragon-sherry sauce, spaghetti squash and braised fingerling potatoes or grilled boneless rib eye with shallot confit, wilted spinach and arugula and baked Yukon potato wedges as entrees. The special menu is $56 and the nightly menu will also be served. The restaurant opens at 5:00p.m.
Kelsey’s Sports Bar & Grill gives guests a succulent grilled chicken breast with steamed asparagus, Maryland lump crab finished with a Bérnaise sauce, sweet potato puree and roasted vegetables for $21. For dessert, say yes to chocolate banana bread pudding with caramel sauce for $5.95. Kelsey’s is open from 11:00a.m. to 11:00p.m. and its regular menu may also be ordered from on Mother’s Day.
Pechanga Resort & Casino’s newest dining outlet, Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar offers a special menu for $45. Guests may choose soft shell crab tempura, soy glazed blue lake beans and sweet corn emulsion or braised beef short ribs with white hominy polenta and salsa criolla. Umi opens at 5:00p.m. and its nightly menu will also be served.
The Pechanga Buffet is a favorite of many diners on special occasions because everyone can pick exactly what they want. The Easter brunch buffet runs from 10:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. and is $28.50 for adults and $14.25 for children ages three to 11. Children under three are free. Breakfast and brunch items abound at the Pechanga Buffet on Easter including the nutella, rum, banana, or butter French toast bar, the build your own omelet or pancake. Fresh seafood options include prawns, mussels, oysters on the half shell, jumbo crab legs and more. Diners can also choose from hundreds more options from the Americana, pasta, pizza, rotisserie, Mexican, Asian, soup and salad, grill and the carving stations.
