More Job Fairs in July for More Applicants


Job seekers wait in line at Pechanga’s June 15 job fair

TEMECULA, Calif. — (July 10, 2017) – Pechanga Resort & Casino hosts its second large job fair this Wednesday for candidates interested in being one of 750 people to staff the resort’s major expansion. Wednesday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., job seekers interested in working in the Temecula resort’s Food and Beverage division should come to the Eagle’s Nest on the top floor of the hotel with resume in hand and ready to talk with hiring managers. Pechanga will open two new restaurants, an additional room service kitchen, a third employee dining room and pool beverage service as part of its expanded food and beverage amenities.
Another job fair will be held Wednesday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest for those interested in working in the Hotel division which includes Spa, Golf, Housekeeping, Valet, Bell Desk, Front Desk and Concierge.

In order to fully staff its $285 million resort expansion, Pechanga needs to fill a total of 750 positions primarily in Food & Beverage and Hotel Operations including the spa and pool areas. The expansion includes an additional 568 hotel rooms and suites, a 4.5-acre pool complex, a two-story luxury spa, two new restaurants and another 68,000 square feet of additional meeting and event space.

Prospective applicants who do not attend the July career fairs will have a last chance on August 9 for a combo Food & Beverage and Hotel Operations hiring event. Hiring teams hope to bring at least 300 job seekers to each career fair.

Positions vary from line level to supervisory and management jobs. Entry level positons at Pechanga start at $10.50 per hour, the California minimum wage, and up.

June 15 and 16, Pechanga Talent Management officials held the largest job fair ever held at the resort. During the two day event, 1,149 prospective employees met with hiring managers. Out of those, 439 applicants either received job offers or moved on to meet with department managers for an additional interview.
