TEMECULA, Calif. – (August 7, 2014) – With the mercury still reaching toward the 100 mark in many areas around Southern California, locals and visitors look for places where they can cool down and get refreshed. Next time beating the heat is in order, Pechanga Resort & Casino offers the perfect respite with an array of frozen treats and drinks, plus 24/7 air conditioning.
The resort’s newest place to pick up a sustainably harvest and locally roasted coffee or latte offers frozen blended java drinks. Blends Coffee & Wine Bar offers the blended cookies and cream frappe, a temptation guests will not want to share. Blends also features iced coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, and an array of blended coffee drinks. Blends also offers more than 15 wines by the glass, many of them crisp and chilled white and sparkling wines.
A trip across the resort to the Temptations Food Walk reveals the mouthwatering Italian gelato case upon approaching. Guests can choose from 16 flavors such as pistachio, mango, raspberry, mint, traditional favorites chocolate and vanilla and many more. Ice cream’s more intense cousin in terms of flavor and denseness, gelato contains half as much butterfat as ice cream. Less cream and more milk allows flavors to shine. Pechanga guests get their fill with three sizes, or in their choice of waffle, sugar or standard cone. Fresh fruit smoothies, boba tea and iced coffees at the Temptations Food Walk are also easy cool down fixes.
If a more adult refreshment experience is needed, Pechanga’s bars and lounges feature new specialty cocktails each month, each for $5.25. The expert bartenders can also quickly whip up blended cocktail favorites such as margaritas, daiquiris and piña coladas. Inside Umi Sushi & Oyster bar, a mixologist-crafted cocktail menu filled with several thirst-quenching specialties featuring muddled fresh fruits and herbs is offered. The Cucumber & Cilantro cocktail and the Chimera martini are favorites among diners at the modern sushi and seafood restaurant.
