Spa Pechanga’s recent Hair-a-Thon drew 15 donors from the San Diego and Temecula area who got their hair cut and donated a total of 30 ponytails to recognize two local women, “Cancer Warriors,” Janet Mroz and Kristin Berggren and to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mroz and Berggren, clients of Michelle’s Place, a Temecula-based cancer resource center, both received a donated wig for the first time. From left, sisters Aaliyah and Alyssa Skarra donated hair in honor of their mother who beat the disease. Since 2011, resort and casino team members have donated more than $350,000 to fight breast cancer.
