Six acclaimed Pechanga chefs selected favorites for their exclusive New Year’s Eve menus for those looking to ring in the New Year just right. Guests can enjoy dining options from casual, intimate or upscale, and from traditional to unique, accommodating large groups or even a romantic New Year’s Eve celebration for two. Special menus can be found at the globally-inspired Pechanga Buffet, the AAA Four Diamond Great Oak Steakhouse, Paisano’s Italian, Kelsey’s, and Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar.
The Pechanga Buffet will have a special menu for New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. – close and for New Year’s Day from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. for $31.99, with children ages three to 11 for $15.99. Children younger than three are free. Up until 3 p.m. on both days, the Buffet will offer a holiday brunch in addition to the select holiday menu, serving up stuffed French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and made-to-order omelets. All day, the select menu will feature traditional holiday fare and internationally inspired dishes. Guests can look forward to a variety of fresh seafood, authentic Asian fare, traditional American specialties, off-the-grill smoked delights, delicate Italian, authentic Latin and a carving station with four choice meats. Pechanga’s in-house bakers create everything on the extensive dessert bar from scratch and with more than 20 dessert items, including many sugar-free options, the day’s specials will be bananas foster, hand scooped ice cream and mini milkshakes. The buffet seats 454 people and serves as a perfect dining option for families and large groups. Please note all Pechanga restaurants are open New Year’s Day, however the Pechanga Buffet is the only Pechanga dining option offering a special menu on New Year’s Day on January 1.
If you’re looking for an upscale feast, look to the AAA Four Diamond Great Oak Steakhouse. The night’s pre fixed menu will feature the jumbo lump crab and avocado cocktail or wild mushroom bisque, followed by the lobster thermidor and filet mignon combination with asparagus and fingerling potatoes for $72. The dessert special for the evening is a white chocolate champagne mousse with strawberry compote. The Great Oak Steakhouse’s nightly menu will be served in addition to the New Year’s Eve special. For an intimate dinner-for-two or to enjoy Italian cuisine, check out Paisano’s. The chef’s hand selected meal starts off with an appetizer of beef carpaccio, roasted garlic aioli, crisp artichokes, and goat cheese. Guests will then have two entre choices of either the pan roasted filet mignon with wild mushrooms, roasted potatoes and spinach in a gorgonzola-cognac cream or pan seared black seabass in lemon, sundried tomato and artichoke sauce served with sautéed escarole and roasted potatoes. The meal is complete with a white chocolate bombe with a raspberry center and mango compote for dessert. This entire pre fixed menu is available for $42 per person. For a casual atmosphere with friends and family or if you’re celebrating the New Year with a large group, Kelsey’s is a great option. Guests can enjoy braised short ribs with a creamy corn polenta, roasted wild mushrooms and candied baby carrots, finished with a red wine demi-glaze for $24. If you’ve saved room for more, the fried Oreo cookie with vanilla sauce will be the featured dessert for an additional $5. Kelsey’s will be open from 11 a.m. – midnight. and the new menu offering authentic barbecue, wood-fired pizzas and 48 beers on tap will be available in addition to the special.
For a fun, Asian-inspired spread, Umi Sushi and Oyster Bar will host a New Year’s Eve pre fixed menu of their own. Guests can choose their entrée from three decadent selections:
- The Yellow Tail poke with forelle pear, tomato, avocado, and quail egg, finished in a toasted pine nut poke sauce for $17.
- The roasted prime rib of beef with a creamy white polenta and white asparagus with a cherry gastric au jus for $48.
- The king salmon with a cilantro onion mousse and fresh dill jus served with red quinoa and grilled squash for $33.
For dessert, try the mandarin orange frozen soufflé with a citrus soup for $9. Umi is open for dinner on New Year’s Eve from 5 – 11 p.m.
The Pechanga Cafe is open 24 hours and is a great meal option for those looking for a casual, quality dining experience any time of the day. The Cafe will feature a New Year’s Eve menu of pan seared salmon with a honey glaze and toasted macadamia nuts, served on wasabi mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans with a chili sauce and garnished with fried carrot strings for $21.95. The chocolate truffle finishes off this special menu for an additional $5.
