TEMECULA, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2026) – While just about everyone else in the country was watching the big game on television, Quan Z. from Los Angeles County had other big plans. On Sunday, February 8, he and his wife drove to Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula for what he called “a fun trip” for the day. As the couple passed by the FRANKENSTEIN RETURNS game in the early evening, Quan gave it a spin for five minutes.
Those five minutes proved extraordinarily fruitful, and maybe even frightful, as he scared up and scored the progressive jackpot of $639,903.71. He wagered the maximum bet of $8 on the $1 denomination game by Light &
Wonder. He told Pechanga staff he played about $200 before the foreboding green monster bestowed him with good fortune.
Quan told staff he was really happy as he posed for photos with a big Pechanga Resort Casino check and his wife. As for what he’ll do with his winnings, he said he and his wife will do a little shopping.
Back in June 2023, a Murrieta woman hit a major monster jackpot on the FRANKENSTEIN game at Pechanga. She took home $414,615.85.
