TEMECULA, Calif. – (Dec. 9, 2019) – If you’re not sure your special someone will deliver the desired gift for Valentine’s Day, it’s easy to take matters into your own hands and plan a chocolate, gourmet food and wine-filled trip to Pechanga Resort Casino shortly thereafter. You can also feel good about going because proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley.
The 12th annual Chocolate Decadence and Pechanga Wine Festival gets underway March 6 and 7, 2020.
The two day event offers festival goers hundreds of wine varieties, sweet and savory chocolate confections, gourmet food samples, live music and a silent auction, all while helping out a good cause. Proceeds from the Friday, March 6th Chocolate Decadence and the Saturday, March 7th Pechanga Wine Festival benefit Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley. Tickets go on sale Thursday, December 12, 2019 and may be purchased at the Pechanga Box Office, by calling (877) 711-2946 or through Pechanga.com.
Chocolate Decadence on Friday, March 6, features more than 30 wine varietals that have been shown to masterfully partner with chocolate and other sweet desserts. VIP ticket holders receive early entry at 5:30 p.m. which includes an upgraded souvenir wine glass, fruit and cheese and passed hors d’oeuvres. VIP tickets are $80. General admission runs from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. and tickets are $60. These include a souvenir wine glass, unlimited two ounce samples of wine and spirits, gourmet dessert samples from Pechanga’s acclaimed pastry chefs, live music and silent auction. Designated driver tickets are also available for $35. These include food and dessert samples, bidding on silent auction items and enjoyment of the live music.
Wine enthusiasts with VIP tickets can sip and explore more than 100 wine selections at the 12th annual Pechanga Wine Festival from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Pechanga Wine Festival VIP tickets are $90 and allow guests early access to the wine and restaurant tastings, as well as an upgraded souvenir wine glass. General admission are available for $65 and include a souvenir wine glass, unlimited two ounce samples of wine and spirits, gourmet food from each of Pechanga’s 13 restaurants, and dessert samples from Pechanga’s acclaimed chefs, as well as others in the Temecula Valley, live music and silent auction. Designated driver tickets to the wine festival can be purchased for $40.
Combo general admission tickets for entry into both events are available for $100. This provides a $25 savings if guests plan to attend both Friday and Saturday. Combo VIP tickets are $140. Guests save $30 on VIP entry with combo tickets. Guests must be 21 or older to attend either event.
Proceeds from Chocolate Decadence and the Pechanga Wine Festival support Habitat For Humanity Inland Valley’s programs that provide housing needs and home repairs to senior citizens and those no longer able to do such work themselves.
Southern California-based band Waves of Ages will perform live Top 40 music both days of the festival.
New this year, four of Pechanga’s head restaurant chefs will offer live cooking demonstrations on Saturday, March 7 during the Pechanga Wine Festival. The cooking demonstrations are free to all attendees. Schedule is as follows:
• 1 p.m. – 1:20 p.m. – Great Oak Steakhouse Chef, Jose Mendoza, shows best ways to cook the perfect steak
• 2 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. – Paisano’s Chef, Jordan Garcia, shows pasta preps + an easy vodka sauce
• 3 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. – Lobby Bar & Brill Chef, Andre Alto, shows fileting and cooking the best salmon ever
• 4 p.m. – 4:20 p.m. – Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar Chef, Kiyo Ikeda, shows attendees why sushi is art.
