TEMECULA, Calif. – (December 6, 2019) – The Pechanga Development Corporation will celebrate the addition of the brand new Great Oak Marketplace™ on Pechanga Parkway on Thursday, December 12, with a Grand Opening event. The Great Oak Marketplace is Pechanga’s newest addition and features businesses including Papa’s Pizza Grotto, Haute Nails, and the Pechanga-operated Steak ‘n Shake, Jack’s Donuts, and Blends Coffee Bar.
The public is welcome to the Grand Opening. The four outlets will offer 25 percent off all food, drinks and services at the marketplace from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on December 12. There will be an official ribbon cutting with Pechanga Tribal officials and the Temecula Chamber of Commerce, followed by appearances by KFRG FM on-air personalities who will spin today’s hit country music live and emcee the event.
“We’re continually making enhancements and additions to Pechanga we feel will benefit not only our guests, but also our local community. In this case, the marketplace features businesses needed in this specific area of south Temecula,” said Pechanga Development Corporation President, Jared Munoa. “The marketplace and these quality businesses will be a great convenience for the local community and thousands of our guests and Team Members. We are also pleased to be able to add dozens of new jobs among the four outlets.”
Pechanga officials recognized a demand for a second coffee shop to supplement the existing Blends Coffee & Wine Bar located inside Pechanga’s bustling hotel lobby. Combined with Jack’s Donuts, this particular outlet is Pechanga’s very own and offers a convenient coffee shop for locals.
“The new Steak n Shake is a first for Pechanga in that it is our first venture into the franchise world,” said Munoa. “It also happens to be Steak n Shake’s first franchise agreement with a Native American tribe. Overall, the marketplace and the two venues we will operate represent another step in diversifying our economic assets.”
Situated just off the well-traveled Pechanga Parkway and adjacent to the Pechanga Gas Station, commuters can conveniently stop at the plaza on their way to work to grab a coffee and a donut, or pick up dinner on the way home for the whole family from Papa’s Pizza Grotto.
The more than 8,500 square foot marketplace comes after other recent expansions to the property. In January, the Pechanga RV Resort increased the facility to 16 acres and the number of luxury RV spaces to 210. Prior to that in March 2018, Pechanga concluded its massive $300 million expansion, which added a second hotel tower doubling the number of rooms, a two-story salon and spa, a 4 ½ acre pool complex, 68,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space, and two new restaurants, bringing 750 permanent new jobs to the region.
