TEMECULA, Calif. – (April 4, 2017) – Twenty-four LPGA players, including top-ranking players, enjoyed a day recreational golf at Journey at Pechanga in Temecula on Monday, April 3. Many of them had just come off a nearly week-long majors stint in the Palm Springs area. They headed to Temecula to support a worthy cause. The pro players, along with other invited golfers, participated in the 5th Annual KORE Pro-Am to be held at Pechanga Resort & Casino. LPGA pros including Hee Young Park, Sarah Jane Smith, Demi Runas and more joined together with invited guests to take on the challenging, 18-hole championship Journey at Pechanga course.
The event also gave the opportunity for six golfers from Temecula’s Great Oak High School girls’ golf team to meet the pros. The aspiring female golfers were the event’s official scorekeepers.
The highly anticipated 2017 KORE Pro-AM included the Korean superstars of ladies golf including Jenny Shin, Xi Yu Lin, Mi Hyang Lee, Chella Choi, Vicky Hurst, Jing Yan, Kelly Shon, Julie Yang, Tiffany Joh, Kelly Tan, Jennifer Ha, Ayako Uehara, Hee Young Park, Christine Song, Min Lee, Megan Khang, Simin Feng, Rebecca Lee Bentham, Mindy Kim, Emily Tubert, Sarah Jane Smith, Demi Runas, Annie Park, Lee Lopez and Hanule Sky Seo. This elite group of 25 pro golfers partnered with four other players per team to challenge each other and enjoy the natural surroundings of Journey at Pechanga.
