Pechanga Looking for a Few Good Men & Women at Military Open House

TEMECULA, Calif. – (Jan. 22, 2015) – Pechanga Resort & Casino hosts an employment open house specifically for current and former members of the military. Taking place Wednesday, January 28 from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. in the Turtle Conference Room on the Pechanga hotel’s second floor, Pechanga Human Resources professionals will meet with prospective job applicants with military experience to gauge their interest and skills in order to fill available positions in six of the resort’s 10 divisions. Military applicants have the opportunity to listen to testimonials from a panel of current Pechanga employees who are also armed services veterans. Candidates are encouraged to ask questions and gain more information about the culture of working at the state’s largest resort/casino before they head into their interview with a Human Resources specialist.

She came to Pechanga Bingo with some family and friends to play in the matinee session that afternoon. The group was really just looking to have some fun and enjoy one another’s company. Salvation Army major attempts bell ringing record of 150 continuous hours

Murrieta, CA (December 8, 2014) – Salvation Army Major Marcelino “Butch” Soriano loves kettle season. Each of the last three years, he’s participated in the national World Record Bell Ringing Competition, achieving a new record last year. He, Captain Jim Brickson of Albert Lea, Minn. and Andre Thompson of Tyler, Texas agreed to stop ringing at 105 hours.

There’s no official national competition this year, but Soriano refuses to lay down his bell. He has started the attempt to set a new world record for the longest continuous hand bell-ringing by an individual with a goal of 150 hours.  He began at 4:00 AM Monday, December 8 and is planning to finish on Sunday, December 14 at 10:00 AM.  He hopes to raise awareness for The Salvation Army’s 124th Red Kettle Campaign and kick off a historic new year for the Army.
