\"\"<\/a>TEMECULA<\/strong>, Calif. \u2013 (Nov. 9, 2023) \u2013 Dozens of men, women and children walked into Spa Pechanga with long hair and left with new looks this October. Fifty donors in all chopped eight or more inches of their hair as part of Spa Pechanga\u2019s Mane Campaign. The initiative encourages those with long hair to cut and donate it for someone who needs it. Donors received free cuts and styles in return. In all, the 50 donors gave up approximately 40 feet of hair. All ponytails were donated through Spa Pechanga\u2019s 2023 Mane Campaign to the Hair We Share organization. Forty feet equals approximately the length of four full-size alligators, one full-size school bus or the height of two giraffes.<\/p>\n

The Mane Campaign at Pechanga encourages men, women and children with long hair to cut and donate it to the Hair We Share organization. Hair We Share makes the hair into wigs that are given free of charge to those suffering hair loss as a result of a medical condition. Pechanga also gifted funds to help Hair We Share with the expenses associated with making the wigs.
\nHair donors truly recognize the win-win nature of the initiative. They get to do something great for someone else, and they receive a free haircut and style in return for their gift. This year, Pechanga teamed up with Paul Mitchell The School in Temecula and Smith Hair Salon. Paul Mitchell students provided the donation cuts. Smith Hair Salon provided the free haircuts and styles to shape the donors\u2019 \u2018dos into what best suited them.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This is Spa Pechanga\u2019s ninth year hosting the Mane Campaign.
\nStatistics show it takes four to six ponytails to make one complete wig for someone undergoing cancer treatment. To date, the spa has collected more than 745 ponytails, enough for 150 wigs.<\/p>\n

For more than a decade, Pechanga Resort Casino has been a major supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation in its region.<\/p>\n
