(March 25, 2022) \u2013 The stage has been set for the 2022 California\u2019s American Indian and Indigenous Film Festival (CAIIFF). One of the largest Native American film festivals in the country, the two-day event takes place April 2-3 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, Calif. It features a powerful lineup of live theatrical production, a short documentary and a full-length documentary that features Native and Indigenous stories, directors, actors, producers and more. The event also includes youth activities and Q&amp;A sessions. Tickets are $15-$25 and are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pechanga.com\">Pechanga.com<\/a> or by calling (877) 711-2946.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket pricing and line-up are as follows:<br \/>\n\u2022 Saturday live theatrical production \u2013 Bear Grease (California premiere): $15-$25<br \/>\n\u2022 Saturday youth program: FREE<br \/>\n\u2022 Sunday screening \u2013 Imagining the Indian: (World Premiere) $10<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCAIIFF is thrilled to bring audiences back, we return with our first live action theatrical production, the California premiere of Bear Grease, a hilarious indigenous twist on \ufb01lm and musical Grease and the world premiere of Imagining the Indian &#8211; the fight against Native American mascots is a feature-length documentary that examines the movement to eliminate racist symbols featuring Olympian Billy Mills,\u201d said Dr. Joely Proudfit, CAIIFF Director.<\/p>\n<p>The artwork for this year\u2019s festival was commissioned by Monica Zavala, an alumnus of California State University San Marcos.<\/p>\n<p>About California American Indian &amp; Indigenous Film Festival<br \/>\nCalifornia&#8217;s American Indian &amp; Indigenous Film Festival (CAIIFF) provides California moviegoers with a unique opportunity to encounter American Indians in uplifting and empowering film narratives about what it means to be Indian in the 21st century. CAIIFF highlights American Indian storytelling traditions which are the sinew connecting our community, our identity, our history, our present, and our future. CAIIFF is coordinated by the California Indian Culture &amp; Sovereignty Center (CICSC) in partnership with many tribal and community and campus sponsors.
