With albums like\u00a0<em>Children of the Future<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Sailor<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Brave New World<\/em>, Miller perfected a psychedelic blues sound that drew on\u00a0the deepest sources of American roots music. In the course of\u00a0his long, full career, Miller has sold tens of millions of records and his music has been streamed well over 2\u00a0billion times.<\/p>\n<p>In the &#8217;70s, Miller crafted a brand of pure pop that was\u00a0smart,\u00a0polished,\u00a0exciting and irresistible. \u00a0Hit followed hit with:\u00a0\u201cThe Joker,\u201d\u00a0&#8220;Take the\u00a0Money and Run,&#8221; &#8220;Rock&#8217;n\u00a0Me,&#8221; &#8220;Fly like an Eagle,&#8221; &#8220;Jet Airliner&#8221; and &#8220;Jungle\u00a0Love,&#8221; among them.<\/p>\n<p>Miller\u2019s distinctive catalog is a combination of virtuosity and song craft.\u00a0His parents were jazz aficionados, not to mention close friends of Les Paul and Mary Ford, so, as a budding guitarist, Miller absorbed valuable lessons from that musical tradition. When the family moved to Texas, Miller deepened his education in the blues with family friend T-Bone Walker. Miller then moved to Chicago, where he played with Muddy Waters, Howlin\u2019 Wolf, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, James Cotton and Paul Butterfield.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, Miller has\u00a0fully\u00a0immersed himself in the blues\u00a0and its many byways.\u00a0As he has always done, he\u00a0continues to find creative outlets for\u00a0the full panoply of his\u00a0musical\u00a0passions.
