(February 6, 2018)<\/strong> \u2013 Throughout the month of January, Pechanga Poker and Pechanga Bingo players successfully helped to Restock the Shelves with nearly 1,900 pounds of non-perishable foods and canned goods. The Restock the Shelves campaign supports local food banks with depleted supplies due to the holidays and increased needs. The food donations will directly support the Community Mission of Hope, Temecula\u2019s only food pantry which services more than 400 residents and families of Murrieta, Temecula, Anza, and Aguanga each month.<\/p>\n<p>During the month of January, players had the opportunity to bring donations of non-perishable food items in exchange for valuable incentives. Bingo players who brought in two cans of non-perishable food items received one free early bird game pack with their buy-in for matinee and evening sessions. Pechanga Poker players playing tournaments Monday through Friday received a head start on tournament chips for bringing in non-perishables. Those who brought two canned goods received 500 bonus starting tournament chips and those with three or more canned items received 1,000 bonus starting tournament chips.<\/p>\n<p>Helping the local community last year, Pechanga Poker players generously donated more than 1,000 pounds of food for the Restock the Shelves efforts. For 2018, the campaign was extended to Pechanga Bingo helping to double the efforts and provide an additional 900 pounds compared to last year\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The Restock the Shelves food donation campaign is put on at Pechanga in conjunction with <em>Ante Up Magazine<\/em> and Blue Shark Options. Ante Up and Blue Shark Optics team up with poker rooms in regions across the countries to host Restock the Shelves events each January. This is the Pechanga Poker Room\u2019s third year participating and Pechanga Bingo\u2019s first.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TEMECULA, Calif.
