\"Jamey<\/a>TEMECULA<\/strong>, Calif. \u2013 (August 16, 2016) \u2013 Platinum-selling singer\/songwriter Jamey Johnson, one of today\u2019s most respected country music artists, will perform at Pechanga Resort & Casino <\/strong>in Temecula, Calif. <\/strong>on Sunday, October 2 at 7 p.m. <\/strong>Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased at the <\/strong>Pechanga Box Office<\/strong><\/a>, by calling (877) 711-2946 or online at <\/strong>www.pechanga.com<\/strong><\/a>. Tickets are <\/strong>$75, $65, $55, and $50.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Washington Post<\/em> considers him to be \u201cone of the greatest country singers of our time.\u201d \u00a0Since Johnson doesn\u2019t create a set list, no two shows are the same, so the once-in-a-lifetime concert will be unforgettable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what I\u2019m going to do until I am standing there doing it,\u201d he says. \u00a0\u201cThat is a freedom I have enjoyed ever since I began doing this, the ability to try something new.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll see me do a lot of my songs, including my old stuff,\u201d he says. \u201cIf I have a new song that I want to share, you will hear that. When I\u2019m not doing my songs, I\u2019ll be doing everybody else\u2019s that I like, from every format. If I find a jazz song that I like, we\u2019ll drop it in there. If I find a rock song that I like, we\u2019ll do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy taste is vintage, traditional, and that is not to say that everything I do is old. There are a lot of new writers these days that are putting out great music that I find in the same vein as the old stuff I like and we may try some of that out.\u201d<\/p>\n

His 2008 album, That Lonesome Song<\/em>, was certified platinum for 1 million in sales, and his 2010 double album, The Guitar<\/em> Song<\/em>, received a gold certification. \u00a0He has been nominated for 11 Grammys.<\/p>\n

In addition, he won two Song of the Year Trophies, for\u00a0\u201cGive It Away\u201d and \u201cIn Color,\u201d both from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. He has received tremendous praise from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal<\/em> and other publications, many of which have hailed his albums as masterpieces.<\/p>\n

In 2012, the Alabama native released the Grammy-nominated Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran<\/em> paired him with Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Ray Price, Elvis Costello, George Strait, Vince Gill and Merle Haggard.<\/p>\n

In 2013, the Nashville Scene<\/em>\u2019s 13th annual Country Music Critics\u2019 Poll named it the year\u2019s best album. \u00a0(Two years earlier, the same poll named Johnson\u2019s The Guitar Song<\/em> as the year’s best album, and Johnson himself as best male vocalist, best songwriter and artist of the year.)<\/p>\n

In 2014, he created his own label, Big Gassed Records, to release his own songs and albums as well as the music of other artists.<\/p>\n

Johnson says he gets the same thrill when he takes the stage each time as he did when he launched his impressive career. \u201cI love the audience participation,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love it when they sing along. I love it when I can\u2019t remember the words and they do. I love it when the band really nails a good one and I love it when we end up in a train wreck, and those are few and far between, but I even love that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some things we do every night and I think our fans know what that will be.\u00a0 Fans will yell at me during the show and I can\u2019t understand what they are saying, but I am thrilled to death they are that passionate.\u201d<\/p>\n
