Veteran Executive Housekeeper Takes Over Pechanga Resort & Casino’s Housekeeping Team Right Before Resort Doubles in Size

TEMECULA, Calif. — (May 23, 2017) – California’s largest resort/casino, Pechanga Resort & Casino, has just named Eric Pendon as its new executive housekeeper. Eric is a seasoned executive housekeeper and has accepted his new position right before the property more than doubles the size of its resort. In his new role, Eric will oversee the entire hotel housekeeping department of 140 team members, with more being hired as the expansion nears completion, as well as ensure each room exceeds the expectations of Pechanga’s AAA Four Diamond standard.

Eric has more than 24 years of experience serving guests in the hospitality industry and has excelled in the housekeeping field, providing the some of the best guest service hotel guests may take for granted. Ensuring each and every room is cleaned and spotless every single day, and that items needing replacing in rooms or hotel areas are attended to makes a noticeable and memorable difference for guests, according to Pendon.

His experience and professionalism has brought him to locations all over the world, working for several premier and upscale properties in Japan, Hawaii, and Guam, as well as in several U.S. locations such as Washington, New York, Texas, Illinois, and now California. During his time in Washington, he was recruited to be an integral part of the pre-opening teams that launched a boutique, luxury lifestyle hotel franchise now operating throughout the entire country.

Pechanga is currently under a $285 million resort expansion set to open at the end of the year. It includes the addition of 568 rooms and suites, 70,000 additional square feet of indoor event space, a luxury, two-story spa and salon, a 4 ½ -acre resort pool complex, and two new restaurants. Pechanga just celebrated the grand opening of the brand new 2,400-space parking garage featuring 44 electric vehicle charging stations and three Tesla Superchargers, marking the completion of the first phase of the expansion. Enough solar to power 100 homes along with a moving sidewalk to the casino entrance will be added to the new East Parking Garage this fall. Upon completion, Pechanga will have a total of 1,090 rooms and suites, reinforcing the need for Eric’s leadership position.
