Bonna and Tony Garcia of Rancho Cucamonga have their Thursday nights planned out for the next year. They were the randomly selected winners of the Pechanga Buffet Lobster For A Year contest to mark National Lobster Day.

TEMECULA, Calif. – (Sept. 28, 2018) – The line for the Pechanga Buffet’s Lobster Extravaganza usually winds around the waiting area with hundreds of hungry diners eagerly looking to get to the front and chow down on crustacean delicacies. Bonna and Tony Garcia traveled in their RV from Rancho Cucamonga to Pechanga for an overnight at the Pechanga RV Resort that Thursday night. They stopped into the Pechanga Buffet for the Lobster Extravaganza for dinner, but just after they paid the cashier, three Buffet staff members approached them as they walked to their seats. Turned out, Tony and Bonna were flagged as the winners of the Buffet’s Lobster for a Year contest happening that night.

“I thought they came over to tell us we were being thrown out!” laughed Tony Garcia. “I’m so happy. I think this is wonderful. We love coming here and it’s one of our favorite places to go.”

He told staff they’ve never won anything big before, only an iPad one time. “We already like coming to the Pechanga RV Resort, and now we will be coming to the buffet a lot more,” Tony said.

The prize entitles one of them to a free Thursday lobster buffet every week for one year and carries a value of $2,340.

Thursdays equal lobster days each week at the Temecula resort/casino. For $44.99, Pechanga Buffet guests can enjoy their fill of all you can eat, one-and-one-quarter pound whole Maine lobster done in an East Coast lobster bake style with roasted potatoes and corn on the cob. From 4 p.m. to close at 10 p.m., diners receive a piping-hot lobster bake bag containing the just-cooked lobster (flown in fresh from Maine the night before) and fixings that include clams. Guests can also pile high the enhanced buffet seafood selections from the upgraded sushi station, a whole-salmon carving station, fresh and baked oyster station, snow crab, fish tacos, ceviche, calamari, Dungeness crab, clam chowder, peel-and-eat shrimp and much more.

For adults and children 3-to-11, the Thursday Lobster Extravaganza is $44.99 during dinner hours from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Kids 2-and-under are free. Pechanga Club members receive discounts at the Pechanga Buffet including on Lobster & Seafood Extravaganza Thursdays. Silver members receive $3 off, Gold members receive $6, Platinum members receive $9 off and Red card members receive $12 off.
