Free Mariachi Shows, Star Singer & Cool Drinks to Celebrate Mexican Independence Day

Las Colibri Performs at Pechanga Sept. 14 & 15

TEMECULA, Calif. – (Aug. 27, 2015) – Pechanga Resort & Casino celebrates Mexican Independence Day, Wednesday, September 16, with festivities spanning multiple days and several events. Beginning the week marking “Grito de Dolores,” Mexican musician and singer Marco Antonio Solís takes the Pechanga Theater stage on Sunday, September 13 at 7:00p.m. Winner of five Latin Grammy Awards, Solís has 10 studio albums to his credit, along with nearly 20 compilations, duets and live albums. Casino guests visiting Pechanga on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15 will be treated to live, free mariachi shows. The nine-person, all-female Las Colibri band play favorite tunes in various casino areas from 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m.on Monday and from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday.

Guests can feel transported to Mexico by ordering a traditional Mexican Paloma cocktail, available for $5.00 at all casino bars on Wednesday, September 16. In America, people drink Margaritas. In Mexico, the Paloma, made with grapefruit juice instead of lemonade or margarita mix, is customary.
