TEMECULA, Calif. – (October 6, 2017) – Dress up your little ghouls and goblins and bring them out for an afternoon of free golf, candy and Halloween fun at Journey at Pechanga. On Thursday, October 26, Journey, the Pechanga Resort & Casino championship golf course, will host a free kids’ pre-Halloween golf clinic starting at 4 p.m. on the golf driving range. Kids and teens up to 18 years old are encouraged to attend the clinic in costume. Please check in at the Journey Pro Shop where you will be guided to the driving range.
The free Halloween clinic will be taught by PGA Golf Professional and Journey at Pechanga Instructor Randy Chang. Randy teaches a plethora of golfers from beginning to pro and runs the kids’ Tiny Tees lessons at Journey. Come dressed in your Halloween costumes and perfect your swing with Randy and the Journey team.
If you like what you experience at the free clinic, Journey at Pechanga will also be hosting the second annual Candy for Golf campaign from November 1-11. Candy for Golf encourages a healthy lifestyle as well as teaches Southern California youth the importance of Veteran’s Day this November 11. Randy will provide free group lessons to any child/teen up to 18 years old who brings in one full bag of Halloween candy from November 1 – 11. Lessons may be applied on the spot if available or will be scheduled for a later date that month. Candy may be dropped off between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. every day at the Journey at Pechanga Pro Shop front desk.
All Halloween candy donations will be sent to U.S. military members through Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of those serving in active duty and veterans. A large part of their mission is to send items and care packages to troops stationed overseas as well as veterans groups.
Journey at Pechanga’s championship golf course is consistently rated among the top public courses in California and services approximately 36,500 rounds of golf each year. The par-72, 18-hole golf course winds across 7,219 yards.
