TEMECULA, Calif. — (Sept. 22, 2015) – Not only are the fall and winter months hectic with the holidays, cooler temperatures can take a toll on one’s hair, skin and nails. From October through December, Spa Pechanga at Pechanga Resort & Casino offers three distinct, money-saving specials that evoke outer radiance and help very deserving women feel beautiful inside and out.
Every day in October, Spa Pechanga offers free haircuts and styles to anyone willing to donate eight inches or more of hair. The month-long hair donation campaign is hosted in conjunction with the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program to collect as many ponytails as possible. The campaign coincides with October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The side effects of breast cancer treatment, especially hair loss, can be devastating to a woman’s psyche. The haircutting crusade encourages men or women whose hair is eight or more inches, not colored or bleached and not more than five-percent gray to give their hair to help a woman who has lost hers due to cancer treatment. All collected ponytails from Spa Pechanga will be given to the HairUWear® organization. HairUWear turns all usable hair donations into real-hair wigs and distributes them for free to female cancer patients through the national network of American Cancer Society® wig banks. Donors may also drop off ponytails at the Spa Pechanga front desk. Reservations at Spa Pechanga are on a first come, first served basis. Contact Spa Pechanga at (877) 711-2946 or visit www.Pechanga.com/Spa.
In November, those in search of seasonal relaxation can receive a Pumpkin Apple Spice Facial and Pumpkin Pedicure. The facial starts with a detoxifying head, neck and shoulder massage, followed by an Epicuren pumpkin apple-infused mask massaged onto one’s face. The fiber, amino acids and vitamin A and B naturally occurring in pumpkins and apples work as a calming agent for the skin, reducing redness and spots. The 50 minute treatment is $135. Pumpkin salts are added to the pedicure bath. A hydrating pumpkin exfoliant is then worked into the soles of the feet, followed by a spa pedicure. The Pumpkin Pedicure is an 80-minute treatment and available for $75.
For December, Spa Pechanga offers beauty enthusiasts the Cranberry Spa Pedicure and microdermabrasion. Eating cranberries has long been known for its health benefits. Cranberries can also have advantageous effects when applied to the skin, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. Cranberry-infused emollients are massaged into the feet and lower legs, followed by a spa pedicure. This service is $55 for 50 minutes. The 25-minute microdermabrasion encourages the smoothness, elasticity and youthfulness of one’s face or other skin surfaces. By gently exfoliating the skin to remove the thicker, uneven outer layer, microdermabrasion can improve age spots and black heads, lessen the appearance of stretch marks, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, treat acne and scars left by acne and more. At $75, microdermabrasion can be done on its own or as an add-on to any facial. The neck and décolletage may also be included.
